Art. 265 Felonies and misdemeanours against the state High treason
Any person who carries out an act with the aim, through the use of violence, of changing the constitution of the Confederation (1) or of a canton (2) ,of deposing the constitutionally appointed state authorities or rendering them unable to exercise their powers, orof severing an area of Swiss territory from the Confederation or a part of cantonal territory from a canton,shall be liable to a custodial sentence of not less than one year (3) .
